A Bit About Me

My story is a long one, but the short version is this: I became a Certified Personal Trainer and Licensed Massage Therapist because I spent years trying to understand—and overcome—my own pain. From countless rolled ankles to a torn shoulder labrum and even two pars fractures at L5, I learned the hard way how powerful (and how complicated) the human body can be.

That journey led me to earn a B.S. in Health Education, multiple certifications in training and nutrition, and ultimately my massage therapy license. But more importantly, it taught me what it feels like to live in a body that isn’t moving the way you want it to… and how life-changing it is when it finally does.

Today, I use that knowledge to help you understand your own body just as deeply. By blending soft tissue work with corrective exercise, we can manipulate the body’s tissues to become stable, mobile, and strong—exactly when and how you need them. When we work with the grain instead of against it, we can rebuild a version of your body that supports the life you want to live.

If you’re ready for a new physical story—one with less pain, more strength, and a clearer path forward—I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Oklahoma State University - B.S. in Health Education and Promotion - 2009 - 2013

The four years I spent in Stillwater were just as informative as they were fun. During my studies I learned the ins and outs of health and physiology and how to start applying it to my life. Ultimately this was just a launching pad for my curiosity and led me to personal training.

National Academy of Sports Medicine - Certified Personal Trainer  - 2014

It is wild thinking I have been training people for over a decade now. I have spent so much time talking with people of literally every walk of life and their struggles with health and fitness. A training certificate is just a safety label. It taught me the basics on how to coach and train.

National Academy of Sports Medicine - Corrective Exercise Specialist  - 2015

This certification was an absolute eye opener for me. It allowed me to not only hone in on one of the many dysfunctions in my body, but it allowed me to see the body from a different perspective. Here is where I started seeing patterns of movement.

Precision Nutrition Level 1 - 2016

Probably the most in depth nutritional certification on the market at the time. Truth of the matter is that nutrition isn't hard. It's the underlying belief systems that we have instilled in us from childhood and familial bonds. Then you have the supplemental market that promotes quick diets and fads. Sadly the only true champions here are discipline and consistency.

Integrated Massage Therapy College - 2017

After several years as a personal trainer seeking deeper understanding of human movement, I pursued massage therapy. With over 600 hours of hands-on bodywork and advanced education, I began refining my ability to influence how the body responds. By identifying movement patterns and addressing the surrounding tissues, I learned how to systematically unravel dysfunction and restore function.

Stick Mobility Level 1 - 2022

Stick Mobility really helped me tie it all together. Mobility lies between joint stability and joint strength. Or as SM puts it, "Joint Range of Movement + Joint Stability + Neuromuscular Control = Mobility

This lit my world because I was super flexible, and strong but it was all compensatory patterns.  The isometrics and leverage you get during a Stick Mobility session is almost unparalleled.

Although I have been at this for a while, I have a more certifications and methods I would like to learn so this list is everlasting.

Truth is, this knowledge has helped me change my life in dealing with my nagging aches and pains. I now have more stability, mobility, strength and power than ever before.

My only goal now is to share it with you and see what kind of impact we can make on your life!
